A time of change on the horizon. I feel it. The skies show it. Paint what you feel today… this painting could be a wall, a ceiling in a doctors office, sheets, pillows, hooked rug, and a rug…

Changing Skies, changes on the horizon
These are some paintings from a series of landscapes I painted just recently. I paint textile designs, rug designs and home decor as well as faux work.
I was feeling a change coming about …so I decided to paint the vast and changing skies of Texas where we live in the far western borders called the Big Bend.
We are selling our off grid Adobe home and it makes me sad but happy for the people that will eventually live here. It is amazingly peaceful. You are serenaded at night and awoken in the morning by choruses of bird song. Wildlife roams freely. It is a creative persons dream home. I have been more productive in the 8 years we have lived here than in any other home I have lived in. So as I know changes are on the horizon….I am sure it will benefit all. Because in the end change is the only thing we can depend on…..have a great day!

Inspirations Japanese fabric books and sketch books..
Fabric flowers from vintage remnants an inspiration and a weekend project….
I love this idea of making vintage flower bouquets from old laces and fabrics, bleached fabrics and left over remnants.
I have tried this before and found that if I dye fabric and then string the bottom edge to form a ruffle and wrap I get pretty unique flowers, add old lace, add fabric that has been painted and you have your own make your mark flowers. This was the photo that inspired my creations.
